Are your pieces top-heavy and wonky? Do you keep wondering why your punties don’t come off right? Do your clean-sided bowls end up turning themselves floppy and wavy? In the final installation of the beginner series, we will work on refining all the techniques from the 1st and 2nd classes. We will cover proper bubble setup and thickness distribution; working the bubble as a whole to achieve clean, smooth, and thin symmetrical forms; as well as the ever-important punty application and removal process, and much, much more. All of these are crucial elements in transforming your beginner works into well-crafted glass. You’re guaranteed to leave this class with more confidence, a better understanding of the medium, and the capabilities necessary to independently rent time and pursue your own artistic direction and specific aspirations as a glass blower.
*This class may be taken more than once to get the full benefits of what the instructor has to offer. Students will get plenty of one-on-one instruction and will be encouraged to work at their own skill level.
