Sabina Boehm $350 + $25 material fee (non-refundable)
November 5-6, Sat-Sun (10am-5pm)
In this two-day class students will explore three different techniques of marble making. The compression technique, used for making flowers and butterflies; the imbedding and implosion technique used for making honeycombs and air traps; and technique for outside designs like pinwheels and fish scales. Advanced-intermediate flame workers will make the most progress in this class, but it’s open to anyone with basic flameworking knowledge. Students will be encouraged to work at their own levels. This class will focus on a fundamental understanding of core heat, “fuming” of metals and color use.
All levels. Students should be comfortable working with rods.
