Glass, being a metal itself, plays well with others and in this two-day class John Winters will lead students on an investigation into the usage of copper, silver, gold, palladium and other metals that can be used in making magical glass beads. Some topics covered will be the use of precious metal leaf, wire screen, grid work and whatever else students would like to try per instructor discussion. Compatibility will be the biggest issue, but John Winters encourages students “let’s experiment!” Additional materials may be purchased during this class.
Intermediate to advanced level.
