KAREN WILLENBRINK-JOHNSEN
KAREN WILLENBRINK-JOHNSEN After receiving her degree in Fine Arts from
Ohio University, began gardening and bird watching in the Catskill Mountain
region of New York, while apprenticing in the small production studio of Louis
Sclafani. It soon became evident to her that her zeal for glass and love of nature
would form an incredible kinship. Karen’s work has been exhibited throughout
the US and in New Zealand and Sweden. Her work has also been exhibited at the
Museum of Glass in Tacoma, the Jenkin Johnson Gallery in San Francisco, and the
Gardens at the Chapell Gallery in Boston. Karen is currently a member of the William
Morris Glassblowing team in Stanwood, WA, and is frequently featured artist
at glass training workshops. Karen was the featured artist at the Eugene Glass
School’s 6th Annual Auction & Benefit Dinner.
