Stephanie Sersich

Stephanie Sersich is a full-time jewelry designer and beadmaker, living and working in Portland, Maine. Using a mixture of vintage glass, ethnic beads, natural materials, and flosses, she creates jewelry she feels is truly unique, making use of both the old and the new. Whether shiny, or pitted, either glass, or fiber, she strives to incorporate multiple elements into her work that give depth, color, and texture. Her work has been featured in many periodicals and books. Creating her jewelry has led her to lecture at places like the New York Bead Society and the International Society of Glass Beadmaker's 2003 Annual Gathering. She participates in many craft show venues and exhibits her work across the country. She extensively teaches both her beadmaking methods, and her original knotting technique, "Spiny Knotting".
