 Roger Thomas began working with glass in 1973 in California, first in stained, then blown glass and a decade later in fusing. In 1988, he moved his studio to Portland, Oregon where he continues experimenting with fused glass as a pictorial medium, developing methods of dealing with what he calls "the fused glass palette".
