Michael Plane

Michael Plane began working with glass in 1994 and in 1998 began an 18-month apprenticeship with Gallager glass, learning offhand glass while maintaining a flameworking studio. In the summer of 2001, Mike traveled the country teaching individual lessons and is now located at the Eugene Glass School, where he is currently serving as the Board President. Michael has wonderful insight and creates many beautiful works of art that are on display in the Eugene Glass School gallery, as well as several galleries across the country. He is currently working with Litton Engineering to develop new lathes for artistic purposes, and countinues to push the boundaries in blowing borosilicate glass.
