Dave Strobel
Dave Strobel�s career in glass started in 1991 while attending college for illustration in
Southern California. After attending three semesters of off-hand furnace work, Dave moved to
Portland, Oregon where he worked for Northstar Glassworks and other local businesses performing a
variety of scientific and artistic flameworking jobs. In 1994, Dave made the transition into
self-employment where he was free to experiment and concentrate on many borosilicate flameworking
techniques. Dave�s years of practice, his innate feel for glass, and constant pursuit of
perfection have resulted in a style of work that is helping to build his reputation as a
world-class borosilicate artist.
